Keynote speaker

Aarti Gupta
Title: Radical transparency in global environmental governance
Professor of Global Environmental Governance at Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Her research focuses on questions of transparency and accountability in global environmental and climate governance, and the challenges of anticipatory governance of novel technologies, such as biotechnology and climate engineering. She has published widely on these topics, including the co-edited Transparency in Global Environmental Governance: Critical Perspectives (2014, MIT Press). [ Read more under Speaker details]

A part of the systematic review paper, focusing on organizational governance aspects, was presented at the #IFPM3 hosted by @FEP_UniFreiburg in a panel about small-scale #forestpolicy and institutions with various topical cases from the #GlobalSouth: https://tropicalforestry.wordpress.com/2021/03/22/there-is-nothing-small-about-forest-smallholders-panel-discussion-at-the-3rd-international-forest-policy-meeting/
Thanks #IFPM3 for the invite!
Enjoyed discussing the politics of digitally-enabled 'radical' #transparency.
I argued for reclaiming the notion of 'radical'. Radical is as radical does!
What does having ever more real-time #climate/ #forest data do and for whom?
@transgov_wur
Earlier this month our researchers from @europeanforest and @VUBrussel presented their findings during the #IFPM3 organised by @FEP_UniFreiburg
Governance of #urbanforest nature-based solutions and the impact of #COVID19.

Congratulations to my dear colleague @EBaulenas for winning both the first prize and the public choice award at the #3MT competition yesterday at the #IFPM3 conference @FEP_UniFreiburg! Congratulations @SimonBager and Viviane Griesinger for winning the runner-up awards!
After 2 days of intensive conferencing with #IFPM3, I can only congratulate them for creating such a successful environment for scientific knowledge exchange to happen during these pandemic times. Well done 🙏
